🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Stand-alone apple tree on outlot in front of a Dialysis Center. No fences, easy parking/access. Believe tree to be in the "right-of-way" for Rt. 59.
Apples are yellow with slight blush. Sweet flavor (like Golden Delicious). Tree appears very healthy and was well-laden in late summer when observed.
There is another apple tree just south of the n. driveway of this property. Apples are small and a "dusty" solid red. Flavor unknown.
Trees are starting to grow up into the utility lines following the right-of-way alongside the road, and are in need of pruning both for safety's sake and for quality of fruit.
