🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
There are several mulberry trees with branches that overhang the public parkway. Some of the branches can be reached but most are pretty high. Bring something, like a cane, to snag a branch and pull it closer to reach.
