Damson plum

Damson plum Private but overhanging
🗓 Season: September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, oval, dark blue-purple. Intensely tart raw — best after first frost or for cooking. Fully ripe when skin darkens completely and fruit gives to pressure. Excellent for jam and gin.
Large tree of damsons or small sweet plums overhanging the fence right on the corner, inside a garden. The fruit falls onto dirty road/pavement so might be better to ask if you can pick inside the garden.
