🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Apple tree with decent size apples (slightly smaller than your fist). It's located on an undeveloped lot. I'm sure it's private, but I've seen multiple families out harvesting bags of fruit in season... I wouldn't know who to ask for permission.
