🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright red and detaches from the core plug with no resistance. Fragrant and very soft when ripe. Autumn-fruiting varieties produce a second flush in September–October.
On the edge of the path!... Well, they were, and then I returned a week later and some selfish jerk had picked anything that was close to ripe and trashed the area.
