🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Numerous plants with large berries at the rear of the cemetery, sweet berries. Popular with the locals so there isn't always a lot that is easy to get to. If you're willing to fight back some prickers, you can get up in there.
