🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
Total of 6 serviceberry trees between mace way and hemlock. Good quality fruit first week in June, still some unripe too. Stinger trees within easy reach, others higher up.
