🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Growing in front yard next to fence. On private land but uncared for. apples roll down their drive onto the road, so they probably wouldn't mind someone taking them if you knocked on their door. haven't tried though
