🔍 When is it ripe?
Green outer husk splits and darkens; nuts fall or shake loose. Remove husks immediately and cure for 2 weeks to develop full flavour. Gloves prevent staining.
May not be exact location, but there is a walnut along this street. Harvest late August - late September, only when husk begins to peel off in chunks and is turning brown. Discard any with holes in the walnut shell
