🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright red olive-shaped berries. Very sour when first red — wait until they turn deep red and fall freely or can be shaken off. High in vitamin C. Good for jam, wine, and sauce.
Two trees, next to each other. Still had fruits in November, though most of them on the ground. Fruits ripen off tree. Easily reached from the trail.
