🔍 When is it ripe?
Clusters of orange-yellow fruit; ripe when fully orange with no green, yields to gentle pressure, and comes off the stem with a slight tug. Very sweet and aromatic when right — mealy if overripe. Short shelf life after picking.
Tree is located next to the train tracks, not in someone’s yard. Fruit is high up and not easy to get. Does not seem to belong to anyone and the fruit often falls to the ground uneaten.
