🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black when ripe; intensely flavoured and juicy. Spread a tarp and shake the tree — ripe fruits fall immediately. Stains everything permanently — wear old clothes. Do not pick unripe red berries (mildly hallucinogenic).

Pruned into an umbrella shape so they're easy to pick without a ladder
There's a third female mulberry tree on the slope next to the contractor's parking lot for the galleria - it's not pruned and it's on a hill so you might only be able to reach some of the berries
