🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.

Une bonne petite pomme anglaise, mais peu rustique.
Variété issue d’un semi de hasard de 1825 en Angleterre. Les fruits sont rouges orangés, juteux, parfumés, légèrement acidulé, au gout proche de la poire. Leurs loges creuses laissent entendre les pépins comme un grelot. Ils se consomment d’octobre à décembre.
