🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
At the end of the dirt path as it opens out to forest, on the right hand side there is a huge amount of brambles that have a significant amount of berries in autumn. Quite tricky to make your way through the overgrowth so be careful.
