🗓 Season: August · September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Asian pear: Round, yellow-bronze skin. Unlike European pears, eat when still firm — they do not soften at room temperature. Ripe when colour develops fully and a sweet fragrance is detectable. Crisp, juicy flesh.
European pear (Pyrus communis 'Bartlett'): Classic Bartlett: skin turns yellow-green from green. Harvest when the neck near the stem gives to light pressure. Ripens off the tree in 4–7 days at room temperature.
Two pear trees owner was really nice and let us pick them! One of the trees was Asian pears and smaller the other was a large tree.
