Rosemary Public
🗓 Season: January · February · March · April · May · June · July · August · September · October · November · December
🔍 When is it ripe?
Evergreen herb — harvest sprigs year-round. Young, bright green shoot tips have the most flavour. Harvest in the morning after dew dries. Flowers (blue-purple) appear spring through early summer and are edible as a garnish.
At the entrance of the old Alameda Food Bank, there is a rosemary bush. It’s trimmed. It looks like it’s all publicly owned now so please be responsible when taking sprigs.
