🔍 When is it ripe?
Blue-black berries in flat clusters; cook before eating. Ripe when uniformly dark blue-black and heavy. Also note: elderflowers in June are edible raw and excellent for cordial.
Not sure if I'd eat from this location, but they do grow here. It's on the margins of the grassy area behind the travelodge motel.
