🫐
White mulberry
📍 Berth 6, Alewife Station Busway, Cambridge, MA 02140, USA
🗓 Season: May · June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
White to pale pink or lavender when ripe. Very sweet and mild. Falls from the tree when ripe — spread a sheet below and shake. Extremely delicate; eat within hours. Ripe berries stain less than black mulberry but deteriorate even faster.
Hard to see exact location of the tree on satellite, but this is approximately correct. On the pond-side of the bike path. Most fruits were still unripe on 6/23 but the ripe ones were juicy. It's still a small tree (2020).
