🔍 When is it ripe?
Green coconuts (5–7 months): full of sweet coconut water. Brown coconuts (12 months): drier, rich flesh. Ripe when the husk turns brown and the nut sounds hollow when tapped. Shake — liquid should slosh inside.
A few coconut trees growing near the jetty on Karragarra island. Not easily reachable, but occasionally you can find ones that have fallen to the ground before others have picked it up.
