📍 443C+75 Ipswich, UK
🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Amazing variety of apples along this edge/side of this field. Some are incredibly delicious, crunchy, and sweet varieties. The trees run the whole length, some ripening a little later than others.
Bright red and large ones on the north end, large green/yellow in the middle, and some smaller tart and sweet ones on the south end - and ones in between!
