🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green to yellow; red blush is variety-dependent and not a reliable indicator. Fruit yields to gentle pressure near the stem end. Fragrant aroma at the base. Harvest when it detaches with a slight twist — no tugging needed.
On private property but overhangs street. Owner does not seem to care about fruit as there are plenty overhanging the street and falling on the ground. However, it is possible that the owner does not care about the fruit because they're simply not good quality (they don't look good). I am unable to test as I am allergic.
