🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Huge tree! Technically, it exists on someone' property-BUT, it is a huge, tall tree, with branches hanging over the side walk. It bears fruit in abundance starting in min to late June. You can easily identify this tree during summer months because the ground near it is just COVERED with fallen fruit-such a waste, sadly. There's so much fruit to pick, but 90% of it is in hard to reach areas. However, one can get a good harvest (maybe a gallon full) from just the bottom, reachable branches. Still, I'd recommend to bring a ladder!
