🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Apple tree growing by pavement. Heavy crop with lots of windfalls. I tried one off the tree but it was very sour, inedible. Could be cooking apples? could be unripe? Good size for normal apples though. All green no trace of red. See photo.
