🍎
Apple (Malus)
📍 1483 Federal Hwy Service Rd, Sutton NSW 2620, Australia
🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Several large apple trees along this road. Most likely self seeded. Some are just behind the roadside fence but this one isn’t. This is just off the highway on the side road...so no busy traffic. Good parking right near it on the road shoulder.
