🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red to purple-black when fully ripe. Falls naturally. Tart-sweet flavour. Spread cloth below and shake. Stains permanently.
Tench Reserve along the Nepean River.
There are at least a dozen trees located along the river.
Very busy during the season with people picking both the fruit and leaves for Silk Worms
