🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red (or gold/yellow for golden varieties) and slides off the receptacle — the hollow centre is the tell. Does not pull: a ripe raspberry separates at a touch. Extremely fragile; use within hours of picking.
In front of and around behind the Cutler apartments office building are LOTS of raspberry bushes. Late July in a dry, hot summer many were ripe, some still ripening.
