🔍 When is it ripe?
The green husk splits into four sections and turns brown when ripe. Shake branches or wait for fall. Cure in a cool, dry place for 2–3 weeks. Kernels should be full and not shrivelled.
Park access is restricted to residents of the Block House Creek subdivision. However, I see people collecting pecans all the time in the park. I am a Block House Creek resident.
