🔍 When is it ripe?
Pick when background colour shifts from green to yellow-green and the stem separates cleanly. Finish ripening indoors — flesh near the stem should give slightly when pressed.
Pear tree in front of a row of townhome, before the fences on the front porch. Very tall tree, bring a ladder or fruit picker. I assume it is on private property, but residents seem to find pears annoying and are happy to see them gone.
