Fig

Fig Public
🗓 Season: June · July · August · September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Hangs heavily and droops at the neck; skin softens and may split. A sweet drop of nectar at the base eye and the absence of white sap at the stem confirm ripeness. Pick with a gentle twist.
Apparently untended fig, appears to be winter hardy, 10'-20' in height, suckering moderately from base, inside an overgrown abandoned garden allotment (the first north of this little dirt driveway), and you'll see other allotments in various states of use along this road.
