🔍 When is it ripe?
Green husks turn brown and split; nuts drop naturally. Gather promptly before wildlife. Kernels should be plump and cream-coloured. Dry before storing.
Hickory tree in southeast corner of Marquette Park. Not hard to find, few trees in that part of park.
