Pomegranate

📍 7841 N March Ave, West Hills, CA 91304, USA
Pomegranate Private but overhanging
🗓 Season: September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Skin turns from pale orange to deep red; fruit becomes angular and the blossom end flattens slightly as arils expand. Tap the skin — a ripe pomegranate sounds metallic. Heavy for its size. A slight crack at the shoulder is fine. Do not wait for it to fall.
Pomegranate tree located in the backyard of a private residence. A large portion of the tree hangs over the wall that separates the yard from the sidewalk. Easy to pick and high yield. Use discretion. Best to come at night when there are fewer people around and it is harder to see.
