🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black, duller than blackberries. Separates from the hollow core like a red raspberry. Richer, more intense flavour than red raspberry. Short season — harvest daily.
In summer 2010 this was a big patch of black raspberries. Small fruit but good. Harvested several gallon jugs on July 4th 2010.
Black raspberry cane also grows along some of the paths leading to this spot. It may have been clear-cut since then but should grow back - confirm?
