🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
Excellent serviceberry trees, out in the open so they get full sun and the fruit ripens up sweet. Probably 3 or 4 mature clumping trees here, very accessible without a ladder. An abundance of good to excellent berries.
