🍎
Apple (Malus)
📍 73 Bennett Cres, Oxford OX4 2UW, UK
🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Large apple tree, good cooking apples - on side of buildings facing the Oxford Road, accessible from Bennett Crescent through an archway. Once through archway, turn right and walk across grass around a smaller building into a hidden grassy area which has the tree in the middle.
