🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, orange to yellow fruits in large bunches near the base of fronds. Ripe when fully orange and falls freely. Flavour is apricot and pineapple; very high in pectin — excellent jelly. Short window in summer.
In a public garden, close to the pedestrian crossing from Djerring Trail side to Murrumbeena Train Station side. 3 Palms present, 2 Fruiting in March-May 2021. Unsure if any chemical sprays used in this public garden.
