🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
this is outside the co-op house i'm living at @ 404 w kirkwoood and i'll be trying to make wine & jam this year, but it will likely not be used every year, and taking a little is fine anyway
