📍 Kershaw Gardens, Moores Creek Rd, Park Avenue QLD 4701, Australia
🗓 Season: May · June · July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Mint: Harvest leaves just before flowering for peak flavour. Cut stems back by a third regularly to encourage bushy growth. Flavour declines after flowering — cut flower spikes off to extend harvest.
Sage: Harvest young, grey-green leaves before or during flowering for best flavour. Woody older leaves are less aromatic. Dry well for year-round use. Flowers are edible as a garnish.
Huge collection of herbs in garden beds (close to carpark, fountain in centre)- probably even more that I couldn’t identify
Cherry tomatoes about to turn red (as at mid June 2023)
White and purple lavender too - beautifully fragrant - the white is reminiscent of chest rub ointment scent
Had a great time here smelling everything and grabbing some free rocket for dinner - free campground at other end of park too
