🔍 When is it ripe?
Clusters of orange-yellow fruit; ripe when fully orange with no green, yields to gentle pressure, and comes off the stem with a slight tug. Very sweet and aromatic when right — mealy if overripe. Short shelf life after picking.
Loquat, cultivar unknown. First time I had encountered them so I'm not sure where they are on the sweetness scale, but they are definitely either sweet or subacid, very yummy to my taste. It's a garden on a street corner, ownership unknown.
