🔍 When is it ripe?
Hangs heavily and droops at the neck; skin softens and may split. A sweet drop of nectar at the base eye and the absence of white sap at the stem confirm ripeness. Pick with a gentle twist.
The tree is located in front of the Biomedical building, just beside Spirit Park. I've been able to pick a good amount of figs during the late summer months. Make sure to check your shoes after crawling around under this tree; there's a lot of smushed fruit on the ground, and it may make things slippery.
