🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright red olive-shaped berries. Very sour when first red — wait until they turn deep red and fall freely or can be shaken off. High in vitamin C. Good for jam, wine, and sauce.
Not sure what kind, but there are a few cornelian cherries here by the hospital. No one gathers here and they are slightly bitter. Woild improve with cooking. Excellent cranberries replacement.
