🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple with a dusty bloom when ripe. Flesh softens and detaches cleanly from the stone. Sweet, rich flavour. Drops to the ground when fully ripe — check beneath the tree daily.
Tree is in back yard. need to ring or call if you want a ton of plums. The plums tend to be sour, but have made really interesting jams and sauces. Great for pickling too. In July and August, the tree produces tons of little fruit.
