🗓 Season: April · May · June · July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Strawberry: Uniformly red with no white or green at the tip or shoulder. Strong strawberry fragrance even from a distance. Cap leaves (calyx) are fresh and green. Completely red flesh inside when cut. Wild strawberries are smaller but more intensely flavoured.
Tomato: Uniformly coloured (red, orange, yellow, or purple by variety) with slight give when squeezed. A ripe tomato separates easily from the vine. Fully coloured fruit stored at room temperature — never refrigerate.
This is on private property. Ask the man who lives here and he will give you as much as you can carry. Very nice. Don't try to sneak in, they have a dog.
