Quince

Quince Private
🗓 Season: October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Yellow, fragrant, and very hard when ripe — not soft like apples. Look for a deep golden-yellow colour and a strong quince aroma. Inedible raw (very astringent); excellent for jam, paste, and jelly after cooking.
Quince bush. Not good for eating raw but great for cooking. Ripe in the fall when falling to ground. Will watch for better date this fall. Not pretty, no sprays. Please ask before picking via email. kimsquared at aol.com.
