Mango

📍 5425 Winkler Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33919, USA
Mango Private but overhanging
🗓 Season: May · June · July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Smell is the best guide — a ripe mango is intensely fragrant at the stem end. Skin colour varies (yellow, red, green) by variety and is not reliable. Fruit yields to gentle pressure. The cheeks fill out and round. Harvest slightly firm for best transport; ripen at room temperature.
Huge mango tree near Pine Hammock Cir., right before the Fire Department, turning onto McGregor. Tree drops fruit onto the sidewalk and grass. *Last saw fruit fall early August. Edit: after some research I believe this is a Turpentine variety due to its high amount of fiber
