Sea-buckthorn

Sea-buckthorn Public
🗓 Season: September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Dense clusters of vivid orange berries, intensely sour. Ripe when bright orange and yields to gentle pressure. High in vitamins C, E, and omega-7. Harvest by cutting entire branches and freezing, then shaking frozen berries loose.
There are kitchen-gardens nearby, on public land, cared by private people for their own needs. Please be considerate to not pick anything you may find there without the owners permission (you might ask neighbours though, there's always a chance they'll let you get some vegetables if the yield is higher than their needs).
