🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Apple: Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
European plum: Deep purple with a dusty bloom when ripe. Flesh softens and detaches cleanly from the stone. Sweet, rich flavour. Drops to the ground when fully ripe — check beneath the tree daily.
Grape: Berries fully coloured and slightly soft. Stem where it joins the bunch turns woody and brown. Seeds easily visible inside. Sweet throughout when fully ripe — taste from different parts of the cluster as they ripen unevenly. Grapes do not continue ripening after harvest.
3-4 apple trees (including a red-fleshed apple tree), 3-4 plum trees, some grape vines in the far back.
Lot vacant as of summer 2014 pending the installation of two homes that are currently sitting on the property on giant flatbed trucks. Permission and access was procured from the tenants around the edges (who rent from the same landowner).
