🔍 When is it ripe?
Turns red, yellow, or purple depending on variety; flesh gives slightly under thumb pressure. Taste-test — ripe ones are sweet-tart with little astringency. Drops easily from stem when gently twisted.
Two Yellow cherry plum trees in back corner of Berriedale Tavern car park. Area accessible to the public by car and from the Intercity Bike path. Trees are laden every year and the fruit just drops and rots.
