🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black, duller than blackberries. Separates from the hollow core like a red raspberry. Richer, more intense flavour than red raspberry. Short season — harvest daily.
Part of the UW-Whitewater Campus Garden. Produce is donated to the Whitewater Food Pantry, but several perennials have been planted here. These Black Raspberries grow wild along the treeline. Beware of mosquitoes!
