🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Huge old mulberry tree on the corner right here by the train tracks. Ripens in early through mid-May. Easy access, I just park my car at the Boiling Pot across the street and walk up the hill.
