🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark blue-black clusters when ripe. Cook thoroughly before eating — raw berries are mildly toxic. Ripe when all berries are dark and clusters hang downward.
Loads of black and white sage and some sedges in ravine area on North side of Valley Circle. Enter from trail on Box Canyon at dilapidated chain link fence, or smaller trail head on Valley Circle. You'll have to look carefully for the trail on Valley Circle.
